Opisthoconta sunt unus e sex "supergregibus" Eucaryotorum, animantium unius cellae quae nucleum habent, secundum systematicam Eucaryotorum ab Adl et aliis anno 2005 creatam. Ad eos praesertim pertinent Metazoa (= Animalia pluricellularia), Fungi et nonnulli greges organismorum unicellularium.

recensereInsignum morphologicum Opisthocontorum sunt cellulae cum singulo cilio dorsale (posteriore) absque Mastigonemis (fimbria flagelli), quod eis est saltem in uno stadio vitae. Potest quidem apud singula Taxa prorsus amitti postea. Praeterea cellulae possident cinetosomatum (=corpuscula basalia ciliorum, structura 9x2+2) vel centriolorum (structura filamentorum 9x3+0) par, quod permutatum esse potest.
