Thomas Matthaeus (Anglice Matthew) McGrath (prope Sheldon Dacotae Septentrionalis, 20 Novembris 1916; Minneapoli Minnesotae, 20 Septembris 1990) fuit poeta Americanus.[1][2]

Gradum Artium Baccalaureati in Universitate Dacotae Septentrionalis apud Grand Forks obtinuit. In Insulis Aleutiis in Copiis Aereis Exercitus Civitatum Foederatarum secundo bello mundano meruit. Stipendio Rhodensi Universitatem Oxoniensem frequentavit; studiis postgraduatis etiam in Universitate Civica Ludovicianensi apud Rubribaculum institit. In Collegio Colbiensi in Cenomannica et Collegio Civico Angelopolitis docuit, ex quo amotus est propter eius testimonium, ut testis inimicus, pro House Committee on Un-American Activities anno 1953. Deinde in Universitate Civica Dacotae Septentrionalis et Universitate Civica Minnesotae apud Moorhead docuit. Uxorem ter duxit et unum filium genuit.

McGrath plerumque de sua vita et anxietibus socialibus scribere solebat. Libro Letter to an Imaginary Friend praecipue innotuit, poemate partim inter 1957 et 1985 edito et textus cunctus anno 1997 a Copper Canyon Press.[3]
