Rudolphus Laban[1] (natus Bratislaviae Regni Hungariae in Imperio Austro-Hungarico 15 Decembris 1879; mortuus Weybridge Angliae 1 Iulii 1958), alumnus scholae bellarum artium Lutetiae, fuit artifex et ratiocinator saltationis, unus ex Europaeis saltationis modernae auctoribus. Eius scripturae fundamenta iecerunt Explicationis Motionis Labanianae, Labanotationis,[2] aliarum notionum certiorum in notatione saltationis, evolutionisque multarum varietatum Studii Motionis Labaniani. Habetur unus ex hominibus maximi momenti in historia saltationis.[3]
