Pleuronectiformes sunt ordo piscium demersalium classis Actinopterygiorum.[2] In multis speciebus, ambo oculi in uno capitis latere iacent, uno aut alio per aut circa caput migrante cum piscis crescat. Aliarum specierum laeva, aliarum specierum dextra, aliarumque specierum alterautra latera sursum versus sunt.
