Physalis philadelphica (binomen ab Ioanne Baptista Lamarck anno 1786 statutum) est species plantarum florentium et fructiferarum familiae Solanacearum. In Mexico et Novo Mexico colitur ibique ad coquinam adhibetur.

Secundum botanicos plurimos Physalis ixocarpa (Brot. ex Hornem.), anno 1819 definita,[1] et P. philadelphica sunt synonyma: alii has species distinguunt; sunt qui P. philadelphicam subsp. ixocarpam, varietatem cultam, accipiunt.[2] Ambas species vel varietates in usum coquinarium sine distinctione adhibentur.
