Paulus Bert Elvstrøm (natus Hellerup Daniae 25 Februarii 1928[1]; ibidem mortuus 7 Decembris 2016[2]) fuit navigationis lusoriae peritus Danicus, qui Olympionices quattuor clipeos aureos Olympicos et tredecim titulos mundanos vicit[3] in variis navium classibus, inter quas erant Snipe, Soling, Star, Flying Dutchman, et Finn.
Elvstrøm in octo ludis Olympicis certabat, ab 1948 ad 1988, unus e sex hominibus (alii sunt Beniaminus Ainslie nauta, Michael Phelps natator, Kaori Icho luctor, et athletae Carolus Lewis in saltu in longitudinem et Albertus Oerter in iactu disci), qui quattuor clipeos aureos continuos solum vicit (1948–1960), primum in Firefly, et tum in Finn.[4]
