Ioannes Aubreius,[1] vulgo John Aubrey (natus in Easton Percy iuxta Malmesburiam comitatus Wiltoniensis die 12 Martii 1626; mense Iunio 1697 mortuus) fuit scriptor et antiquitatis studiosus Anglicus, qui praecipue vitarum congeriei (Brief Lives) gratiá celebratur. Breviter apud Collegium Trinitatis Oxoniensis discipulus fuit. Socius inter primos Regalis Societatis Londinii anno 1663 electus est. Operum maxima pars post mortem divulgata est. Inter scripta usque adhuc inedita citantur Interpretation of Villare Anglicanum, Architectonica sacra, Erin Is God, Adversaria sacra et Country Revel (ludus scaenicus imperfectus).
