Iacobus Otis minor
Iacobus Otis minor (5 Februarii 1725—23 Maii 1783) fuit causidicus in Massachusetta colonica, membrum conventus provincialis Massachusettae, et suasor iudiciorum reipubliae amicorum contra proposita Britannica quae Res Novas Americanas commoverunt. "Vectigal sine repraesentatione est tyrannis,"[1] sua sententia propria, pro fundamentali reipublicae amicorum argumento fuit.[2] Otis gradum A.B. in Collegio Harvardiano anno 1743 accepit, seque ad summam professionem legitimam celerrime levavit. Repente obiit anno aetatis suae 58 cum, ad ostium domus amici stans, fulmine ictus esset.
