Festivus (a festo, festivo) est profanus dies festus die vicesimo tertio Decembris celebratus ut "alia via" temporis ferialis celebrandi, sine commercialismo et incommodis acceptis.[1] Festivus, a Daniele O'Keefe scriptore Americano excogitatus, in culturam popularem introductus est a Daniele filio, ludorum scaenicorum scriptore pro? Seinfeld serie televisifica,[2][1] ut pars cuiusdam narrationis comicae. Celebratio huius diei festi, ut Seinfeld ostendit, Perticam Festivi comprehendit, merum aluminio inornato truncum, mores quoque sicut Querelas Enumerandas,[3] Facinora Roboris,[4] et res facile explanatas Miracula Festivi appellatas.

Historia

Primus Festivus factus est mense Februario 1966, ut celebratio O'Keefe senioris primae congressionis cum Debora, uxore futura,[1] sed nunc die 23 Decembris celebratur, ut in "The Strike," programmate Seinfeld diei 18 Decembris 1997 depictus.[2] Secundum O'Keefe, nomen Festivi "tantum in caput ingressum est."[5][1]

O'Keefe senior, in libro Stolen Lightning: The Social Theory of Magic (1982), ritus et eorum significationes sociales explanat—thema ad mores Festivi pertinens.[6]
