First partial review recensere

@Jon Gua: I have done a first partial review (I wrote a comment where I stopped). By no means I am an authority, so feel free to adjust the text as you like. One thing about word order: it is true that in Latin the standard is to put the verb at the end, however that applies less to the verb esse: in this case the standard is “A est B” – although there are plenty of classical sentences in which the verb esse is at the end. To a lesser degree this rule applies to all copulative verbs (e.g. “Filium meum appellavi Claudium”). --Grufo (disputatio) 13:23, 2 Februarii 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the review and for the explanation. Jon Gua (disputatio) 13:31, 2 Februarii 2024 (UTC)Reply
I have given it another look (I did not touch the last table). My opinion is that the Latin of machines is still so bad that whoever will review it will just erase it completely and directly translate the English (which is what I just did). In the future, I believe that if you don't correct it substantially before asking for reviews you will not have much success (and probably the pages will be deleted from Vicipaedia). My suggestion is that at this stage you don't use machines at all. Paradoxically automatic translations might benefit a very experienced latinist, but might be detrimental to who is still learning. Use lexicons instead, search for similar pages on Vicipaedia, and be patient. I will stop here. --Grufo (disputatio) 01:20, 3 Februarii 2024 (UTC)Reply
Is it OK if I create the articles now with the two texts you have revised? Any new text that I create I will not use automatic translators, just a dictionary as you have recommended me and I will post it on the harenarium before. Jon Gua (disputatio) 06:21, 3 Februarii 2024 (UTC)Reply
Of course, it is OK! I do make grammar mistakes too from time to time btw! But there should not be anything too tragic. --Grufo (disputatio) 07:16, 3 Februarii 2024 (UTC)Reply
