Cultura Veracruzensis
Cultura Veracruzensis est cultura materialis litoris sinus Mexicani quae pertinet ad aetatem Classicam Mesoamericanam, id est inter annos 300 et 1200 p.C.n. Est haec cultura coaeva cum Teotihuacan, Toltecis, et Mayis. Cultura Veracruz nomen obtinuit ob causam locationis huius culturae in hodierna civitate Verae Crucis, necnon ob nomen antiquum sibi datum quod hodie ignoramus. Fortasse haec est ultima continuatio Olmecarum. Nucleus culturalis huius gentis erat locus archaeologicus El Tajín, caput etiam politicum atque ceremoniale.
Erat propium huius culturae cruentum sacrificium humanum, praecipue post ludo pilae. Homines in urbibus aedificaverunt pyramidalia templa et lata fora, sed incolae habitabant non in urbe sed, in vicis rusticis circumdantibus.
