Beniaminus Spock (natus Benjamin McLane Spock Portu Novo Connecticutae die 2 Maii 1903; mortuus La Jolla Californiae die 15 Martii 1998) fuit paediatrus Americanus, cuius liber Baby and Child Care (1946) est unum ex libris optime venientibus in historia, cuius doctrina matres sic confirmat: "Scis plus quam scire putas."[1][2]

Spock fuit primus paediatrus qui psychoanalysin investigavit ut necessitates puerorum rationesque familiarum intellegeret. Eius theoriae de pueris educandis nonnullas parentium aetates docebant flexibiliores puerisque magis amantes esse, ac pueros ut homines singulos tractare. Quae autem theoriae late a collegis reprehendebantur, quia nimis indiciis fabularibus nitebantur, contra investigationes academicas.[3]

Spock activista in Laeva Nova et motu contra bellum Vietnamiense annis 1960 et 1970 inientibus fuit, quo tempore conservativi eius scripta vituperabant, quae credebant veniam nimis indulgenter dedisse, exspectationem praesentis gratificationis nimis libenter praebuisse, atque iuvenes suasisse ut cum his motibus liberalibus coniungerentur—quam autem accusationem Spock vehementer negavit.
