Arteria cerebelli inferior anterior proxime nervos craniales VI, VII, VIII et pontem locata est.

Ea sunt imprimis obstructiones atheroscleroticae arteriae cerebelli inferioris anterioris (→apoplexia cerebri), quae dignoscuntur, sed rarius quam arteriarum cerebelli superioris et cerebelli inferioris posterioris[1]. Aneurysmata hic rarius sunt[2].

Syndroma arteriae cerebelli inferioris anterioris (syndroma AICA)

Syndroma AICA simul est syndroma vascularis, quod est fluxum reductum sive abscissum (ut in apoplexia) symptomata peculiaria efficere. Aegroti vertigine, nausea, tinnitu, statu et ambulatione inconstante impediti sunt[3]. Raro syndroma Horneriense observari potest.
