Acroterium (Thera)
Acroterium, litteris Graecis Ακρωτήρι, appellantur ruinae urbis culturae Cycladicae vel Minoae in insula Thera meridiana iuxta vicum hodiernum eiusdem nominis patentes. Idem locus iam aevo Neolithico habitatus erat. Urbs ab eruptione vulcanica Theraea, quae fortasse anno 1628 vel 1627 a.C.n. acciderit, omnino abscondita est. Ruinae illius temporis iuxta Acroterium a Ferdinando Fouqué geologo Francico (qui etiam locum archaeologicum insulae Therasiae effodit) anno 1867 repertae sunt. Urbs ipsa ex anno 1967 effoditur, Spyridone Marinato principio archaeologo duce.
