Tachyglossus aculeatus (binomen a Georgio Shaw anno 1792 statutum) est animal vertebratum ordinis Monotrematum familiaeque Tachyglossidarum. Qui est sola generis species, cui nomen est Tachyglossus, ab Ioanne Illiger anno 1811 statutum; quod nomen e verbis Graecis ταχύς 'celer' et γλῶσσα 'lingua' componitur. Tachyglossus aculeatus in Australia, Tasmania, Nova Guinea habitat.
