Bela probabiliter fuit filius Basilii, propinqui regis Stephani. Ultimis annis regni Sancti Stephani, Basilius seditionem excitavit contra regem, ob quod captus caecatus est. Postea Levente, Andreas, et Bela, filii eius, in Bohemiam confugerunt.
