Simon Langton (mortuus anno 1248), frater archiepiscopi Stephani, archidiaconus Cantuariensis fuit ab anno 1227. Iam anno 1215 archiepiscopus Eboracensis electus est sed iussu papae Innocentii ab hac elevatione deiectus. Legatus meruit regni Angliae pro rege Henrico III.
