Scholarches (Graece σχολάρχης) est rector scholae, praecipue scholae philosophicae praepositus. Quo vocabulo Athenienses antiqui utebantur praecipue ad designandos scholarum philosophicarum rectores. Itaque primus scholarches Plato fuit, praepositus Academiae: locum suum quadraginta fere annos tenuit, donec Speusippum, sororis filium, successorem sibi creavit.

Theophrastus, secundus scholae peripateticae scholarches. Hortus Botanicus Panormitanus.

Ecce index scholarcharum quattuor principalium scholarum philosophicarum Athenis aevo Hellenistico institutarum, annis quibus scholas suas rexerunt quam accuratissisme indicatis:[1]
