Sermones[1] seu Saturae Q. Horatii Flacci, versibus hexametris inter annos circiter 40 et 35 a.C.n. compositi, in duos libros collecti sunt, C. Maecenati dicati et ante annum 33 editi.
Satura quarta libri primi de comoedia et satura tam Graecis quam Latinis disserit. Satura quinta iter a Roma usque Brundisium narrat quod Horatius ad Maecenatem adiuvandum anno circiter 38 a.C.n. perfecerit. Satura octava enuntiari fingitur a simulacro ligneo dei Priapi, quod Maecenas in hortis suis Esquilinis nuper erexerit. In satura quarta libri secundi "Catius", Horati amicus, regulas repetit gastronomicas quas e contione nuper didicerit. Satura quinta de hereditatum quaestu iocatur. Satura octava eiusdem libri "cenam Nasidieni" cuiusdam narrat.
