Samuel Sewallius
Samuel Sewallius[1] (vulgo Samuel Sewall, natus Bishopstoke Hantoniae in Anglia 28 Martii 1652; mortuus Bostoniae 1 Ianuarii 1730) fuit iudex, negotiator, et typographus in Provincia Sinus Massachusettensium, qui societate innotuit in iudiciis de magia apud Salem actis,[2] de quibus se tandem excusavit, ac praeterea commentario The Selling of Joseph ('Iosephus venditus', 1700), servitutem reprehendente.[3] Multos annos munus iudicis maximi Superioris Iudicaturae Iudicii Massachusettensis(en), maximi iudicii provincialis, sustinuit.
