Limapontiidae sunt familia taxinomica limacum marinorum parvorum ad minutum. Qui sunt gastropoda marina cladi heterobranchiorum.[2] Molluscis subcladi Nudibranchiorum similia sunt, sed cum eis non arte coniunguntur. Plurimae species sunt virides propter algas virides quibus vescuntur. In taxinomia Bouchet et Rocroi (2005), prior familia Stiligeridarum describitur synonymum familiae Limapontiidarum, Gray, 1847, ad superfamiliam Limapontioideorum pertinens Jensen, 1996. Huic familiae non sunt subfamiliae.

Ercolania kencolesi inter Boergeseniam (fortasse forbesii). Locus: Lizard Island Magnae Curalii Obicis. Hoc animal est circa 0.5 cm longum.
