Leucaena esculenta (binomen a Georgio Bentham anno 1875 statutum) est arbor familiae Fabacearum, in media America sponte crescens, cuius semina ac folliculi necnon folia colliguntur comedunturque. Haec species cum cognata Leucaena leucocephala in Mexico iam ante saeculum XV domesticata est.
