Ioannes Camaterus, qui saeculo XII medio floruit, filius Gregorii Camateri uxorisque eius Irenae Ducaenae, frater Andronici Ducae Camateri, logotheta cursús meruit iuxta imperatorem Manuelem Comnenum. Fuit etiam ganeo, fabarum amator, et imperatoris conviva.[1]
