Formula {{Quaere citationem}} (forma compendiaria: {{qc}}) semper cum {{Ecce citatio}} (forma compendiaria: {{ec}}) adhibetur. Insere {{qc}} intra sigla <ref></ref> ut nexum internum crees, per notam subiunctam, ad citationem bibliographiam in eadem pagina: quae citatio, quāque structurā idoneā expressā, formulam {{ec}} adhibere debet.

{{Quaere citationem}} ("find the citation" – abbreviated {{Qc}}) is always matched with {{Ecce citatio}} ("this is the citation" – abbreviated {{Ec}}). Use {{qc}} within <ref></ref> tags to create a link, via a footnote, to a bibliographical reference on the same page: the bibliography entry may be in any chosen format, but must use {{ec}}.

Exemplum:

Watson et Crick structuram duplicis helicis DNA proposuerunt.<ref>{{qc|id=Watson & Crick (1953)}}</ref>

De regulis huius formulae

recensere
id=
Hoc est solum huius formulae parametrum. Idem textus, quem sub parametro id= inscribis, debet et in formulam {{ec}} sub parametro id= in eadem pagina scribi: nisi hoc fit, nexus internus fractus producitur. Characteres " et < intra textum parametri interdicuntur; character = deprecatur. Praefixum id= omittere licet, nisi character = intra textum parametri includitur.
This is the only parameter. You must ensure that the id corresponds to the id in a bibliography entry within the same page that uses {{ec}}, otherwise a broken internal link will result.
You must ensure that the id contains neither a quotation mark " nor a less-than sign <.
If the id contains an equals sign =, then the parameter name id= is mandatory. If the id does not contain an equals sign, you may omit the parameter name and, instead of {{qc|id=Identifier}} just write {{qc|Identifier}}.

De erroribus

recensere

Si pagina quaedam {{qc}} sed non {{ec}} continet, id per errorem accidit. Tales paginas ope huius inquisitionis, verbis "Do it!" (Quaere!) tantum impressis, reperiri possunt.

When a page uses {{qc}} but does not use {{ec}}, this is probably an error. You can find such pages using this query (click on "Do it!" to run the query).
