Hi. To move pages you need to have a named account. Please open an account if you want to edit here -- it is easy to do and allows not only page moves but also discussion with other editors.

Four days after opening an account, you will be able to move pages the proper way, and that retains the link with Wikidata and with other language articles. But we cannot invent commercial names and trade marks. Latin articles about books, copyright games and other commercial products must be under the real original title, unless a Latin translation of the title has already been published elsewhere.

Thanks for working on Vicipaedia. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 14:37, 18 Martii 2024 (UTC)Reply

As Latin is a classical language instead of a modern one, we can try to latinize them, similar to Classical Chinese, viz. Minecraft. --170.64.205.30 02:19, 19 Martii 2024 (UTC)Reply
Latin was also a very important "special language" in the Middle Ages and Renaissance, and it still is today, and we include medieval and modern Latin among our sources for things unknown in ancient times.
Yes, you can try to Latinize things: it's fun. But we have set up guidelines, because this is an encyclopaedia, and encyclopedias are not for "things made up one day" (as Jimmy Wales said long ago). For the relevant current guideline on names see Vicipaedia:De nominibus propriis, and for help with finding the names of things in modern Latin see Vicipaedia:Fontes nominum Latinorum.
If when writing or speaking a foreign language, you make up a name, it's necessary to think about your audience. You speak or write to be understood. If your audience doesn't understand the word or name you have made up, you haven't communicated. That was a problem with the article Genshin Impact when it was first named: I think no one who read it understood what game was intended by "Impactus Allogenerum", so communication had failed. Please note what I wrote above about moving pages. You will be able to do this properly when you have had a named account for four days. I blocked this IP address because you apparently ignored this, deleted Vishnu, and moved the text to Visnus. That way the interwiki link is lost and the page history is lost, which invalidates our license. I had to restore the previous position and then make the move properly, which I have now done.
By all means create an account and reply. I'm sure you could do good work here if you want. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 14:48, 19 Martii 2024 (UTC)Reply
