Ingenium recensere

Jondel, by removing the noun, you've changed

secundum morale vitae prioris ingenium
according to the ethical bent of a prior life

to (the nongrammatical)

secundum morale vitae prioris
according to the ethical of a prior life.

However, since the whole phrase is absent from the definition in enwiki, it could profitably be deleted here. IacobusAmor (disputatio) 15:04, 3 Decembris 2015 (UTC)Reply

I appreciate very much for you taking the time out to explain. Please allow me to investigate 'bent-ingenium' meaning and obtain the source. --Jondel (disputatio) 22:47, 3 Decembris 2015 (UTC)Reply
Ingenium seems to suggest inborn talent, pronus might be better for bent. But I will focus on the above mentioned issue.--Jondel (disputatio) 22:53, 3 Decembris 2015 (UTC)Reply
One's bent is one's strong proclivity, one's special capacity, one's natural talent. IacobusAmor (disputatio) 01:46, 4 Decembris 2015 (UTC)Reply
Please, let's keep these distinct, bent/prolivity, capacity and natural talent. And also home in on the most precise sense that was meant to be conveyed with the word which will mainly provide the same meaning. Let's be wary about the other adverse meanings the word used might convey.--Jondel (disputatio) 01:26, 5 Decembris 2015 (UTC)Reply
Adverse? What? IacobusAmor (disputatio) 16:37, 1 Ianuarii 2016 (UTC)Reply
If there is a word that can distinctly and only mean one meaning , that word might be preferable unless the idiom is very prevalent.--Jondel (disputatio) 16:51, 1 Ianuarii 2016 (UTC)Reply

Morality recensere

For the word morarilty, can we use Traupman's boni morae(plural form)? I don't have the dictionary on hand but that is the form I memorized. I'm still investigating the above.--Jondel (disputatio) 01:08, 5 Decembris 2015 (UTC)Reply

It's boni mores in Traupman, not boni morae. The noun moralitas is postclassical, but perhaps Vicipaedia should allow it, since an article on moralitas, distinct from mos, already exists. IacobusAmor (disputatio) 16:34, 1 Ianuarii 2016 (UTC)Reply
Then I think boni mores is preferable.--Jondel (disputatio) 16:53, 1 Ianuarii 2016 (UTC)Reply

"fontem vocabuli restitui; OK?" recensere

OK! The attestation was added after I'd taken the text offline to begin amplifying it, and I hadn't noticed the addition. IacobusAmor (disputatio) 16:37, 1 Ianuarii 2016 (UTC)Reply
