Maybe this would work? If someone wanted to incorperate it into the article. Alexanderr 01:28, 10 Februarii 2006 (UTC)Reply

In my view urbs Novi Eboraci would be more correct. The Romans didn't say urbs Roma but urbs Romae (genitive) and so on. Alex1011 08:22, 18 Maii 2006 (UTC)Reply

No, they said Urbs Roma. It's an appositon, like river Thames--2514 14:11, 18 Maii 2006 (UTC)Reply
Is Eborac what the Romans called the city of York way back when? Also, why is the discussion here not in Latin!

A, sed sigullum dicit "Sigullum Civitatis Novi Eboraci", "sigillum + gen." Ergo nomen veri similiter "civitas Novum Eboracum" legeri debet, sicut Latinitas poscit. Lesgles (disputatio) 19:38, 5 Aprilis 2014 (UTC)Reply

At some point we will have to think hard about whom, if anyone, to include here, or else the section could get quite large (cf. en:List of people from New York City). Lesgles (disputatio) 19:26, 5 Aprilis 2014 (UTC)Reply
