Something's gone screwy. My bot was intending to update this page; it got an error, and didn't change anything. But now the page can't be displayed: we see:

[V6IMFwpAMEcAAKreZDUAAACJ] 2016-08-03 15:22:01: Fatal exception of type "MWException"

with a varying hash code at the start each time (that's apparently a pointer to a stack dump in the web server log, which doesn't do me a whole lot of good since of course I don't have access to the Vicipaedia server). The page is still intact: "edit source" shows everything (and I've stashed a copy locally). But Visual Editor throws the same exception, and trying to look at an old version from the History does too. I did a null edit just in hopes of clearing something up, and it didn't help. Any ideas? I'm glad you've stashed a copy. I tried deleting the page and then restoring: no good. So then I deleted it again and created a new page with the same name. That works OK (up to now) so you could try pasting the old text into the new page that I've created ... Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 17:23, 3 Augusti 2016 (UTC)Reply
Well, you're braver than I am. But as you'll see, it didn't work -- we're back to the error. I don't see anything obviously wrong in the stashed text: maybe I'll experiment a bit more slowly. A. Mahoney (disputatio) 17:42, 3 Augusti 2016 (UTC)Reply
Aha! Everything's now back except for the IchnoBox. As that Formula hasn't changed in years, I'm not sure where the problem is -- but it may be somewhere in that neighborhood. A. Mahoney (disputatio) 17:49, 3 Augusti 2016 (UTC)Reply
Indeed: this IchnoBox call has always been wrong, and I suspect the formula could use some work -- it regularly seems to produce "expansion depth exceeded." A. Mahoney (disputatio) 18:52, 3 Augusti 2016 (UTC)Reply
