Disputatio:Eva

"Evam feminam primam in Terra fuisse scriptum est in Biblia" - This sentence's grammar is rather circuitous. "It was written in the Bible that Eve was the first woman on Earth" (or "Eve the first woman on Earth to have been it has been written in the Bible", literally)? Not only will this confuse most readers, but it's a very poor way to start the article. A good encyclopedia article begins by defining the subject (and preferably having it in the nominative case, if possible!), not randomly referencing the Bible before readers know why it's significant. For example, "In Biblia, Eva erat femina prima et uxor Adamis." would get across much more information with much fewer grammatical acrobatics. -Adamas 05:22, 12 Martii 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your proposed change sounds good to me. --Tbook 15:24, 12 Martii 2006 (UTC)Reply

I agree, and I rewrote the intro, with some help from Hofmann. Lesgles (disputatio) 04:20, 2 Aprilis 2014 (UTC)Reply
