On Google I can find "Haeresis Macedoniana" and "Dogma Macedonianum". I choose the latter for the moment, but better choices may well exist. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 14:15, 17 Februarii 2013 (UTC)Reply

And I'm wondering about the accuracy of the statement at all, because Eustathius's alleged buddy Basilius Ancyranus was an orthodox Christian. Maybe the Suda's Greek is clearer than Wikipedia's English. IacobusAmor (disputatio) 16:27, 17 Februarii 2013 (UTC)Reply
Unless of course there were two Basils of Ancyra in the mid-fourth century: the good one and the bad one. ;) IacobusAmor (disputatio) 16:28, 17 Februarii 2013 (UTC)Reply
You'll find a fairly detailed version here. In its last line, this article confirms that Basil's lot (and Eustathius's too I guess) are the ones that became "the Macedonians". So it all tallies. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 17:15, 17 Februarii 2013 (UTC)Reply
So these Macedonians were followers of one of the three fourth-century Macedoniuses, and they had nothing to do with Macedonia except through him. It would have been thoughtful of them to have borne more various names!—which they might well have done in "real life"! IacobusAmor (disputatio) 18:05, 17 Februarii 2013 (UTC)Reply
