Disputatio:Curia Unionis Europaeae

I am afraid I was a bit over-hasty when enhancing the page: What I've written gives a description of the European Court of Justice = Cour de justice (Union européenne) = Europäischer Gerichtshof, but the page is linked to Court of Justice of the European Union = Cour de justice de l'Union européenne = Gerichtshof der Europäischen Union. The Court of Justice of the European Union encompasses the whole judiciary and consists of two major courts:

  • The Court of Justice (created in 1952), the highest court in the EU legal system;
  • The General Court (created in 1988; formerly the Court of First Instance) = Tribunal (Union européenne) = Gericht der Europäischen Union;
  • besides a specialized court: the Union Civil Service Tribunal = Tribunal de la fonction publique de l'Union européenne = Gericht für den öffentlichen Dienst der Europäischen Union.
So how to call these institutions? - For the moment "Curia Unionis Europaeae" describes the "European Court of Justice" (though wrongly linked ...), "Tribunal Unionis Europaeae" = "General Court (European Union)", "Tribunal munerum publicorum Unionis Europaeae" = Union Civil Service Tribunal.
Maybe "Curia Unionis Europaeae fits better for "Court of Justice of the European Union" , "Curia Europaea iustititiae" for "European Court of Justice"?--Utilo (disputatio) 15:03, 22 Maii 2013 (UTC)Reply
The treaties state: "The Court of Justice of the European Union shall include the Court of Justice, the General Court[...]." If one is to follow the pattern used in other translations, perhaps: "Curia Unionis Europaeae" for "Court of Justice of the European Union" and "Curia Europaea" for "(European) Court of Justice"? The necessity of adding "iustititiae" to the latter is perhaps more confusing than differentiating between "Unionis Europaeae" and "Europaea"? And by the way, keep up the great work! It's needed. :) - Ssolbergj (disputatio) 15:24, 22 Maii 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your encouragement! I think you are right, "iustitiae" should be omitted. I'll continue as soon as possible.--Utilo (disputatio) 16:44, 24 Maii 2013 (UTC)Reply
