- Secundum W. Stearn, Botanical Latin (1966), p. 79, sicut "pubes" declinatur: -es, -em, -is, -i, -e; -es, -ium, -ibus. Addit "... also a number of generic names ending in -odes or -oides derived from Greek... These are all now treated as feminine (cf. Taxon 3: 33-34 [1954])." - Gratias tibi ago! I went ahead and used aedis and aedium. It would be simpler if we could use the native word culex, but that would be taxonomically confusing. Lesgles (disputatio) 17:21, 10 Octobris 2013 (UTC)
