Coffea charrieriana ab Instituto Internationali pro Exploratione Specierum (Anglice International Institute for Species Exploration) in Universitate Civitatis Arizonae et ab internationali taxinomistarum consilio delecta est una ex decem optimis speciebus novis (Anglice The Top 10 New Species) anno 2008 descriptarum.[2]
Appellatur ex Professore Andrea Charrier, qui investigationes coffeae colendae et conligendae in Instituto Investigationum pro Evolutione (Francice Instutut de recherche pour le développement) per ultimos triginta annos saeculi vicensimi administrabat.[2]
