Festus Claudius McKay
Festus Claudius McKay (natus Festus Claude McKay, 15 Septembris 1889[1] ; infarctu cordis mortuus 22 Maii 1948) fuit scriptor et poeta Iamaicanus-Americanus et auctor magni momenti in Renascentia Harlemensi. Quattuor scripsit mythistorias: Home to Harlem (1928), liber optime vendibilis qui Praemium rebus gestis distinctis inter Nigros Gulielmi E. Harmon litteris dicatum abstulit; Banjo (1929); Banana Bottom (1933); et Amiable With Big Teeth: A Novel of the Love Affair between the Communists and the Poor Black Sheep of Harlem (manuscriptum, 1941, nondum editum).[2] McKay etiam protulit congeries poematum; congeriem fabularum brevium (Gingertown, 1932); duos libros autobiographicos, A Long Way from Home (1937) et My Green Hills of Jamaica (post mortem editum); et tractatum sociohistoricum, Harlem: Negro Metropolis (1940). Harlem Shadows, congeries poematum, fuit inter primos libros per Renascentiam Harlemensem editos. Liber Selected Poems post mortem anno 1953 editus est.
