Centrolophidae sunt familia piscium classis Actinopterygiorum et cladi Pelagiariorum. Huius familiae species Psenopsis anomala et P. cyanea ad commercium capiuntur.

Si fossile sub monte Bolca in Italia e lapidibus stadii Ypresii extractum, Zorzinia postalensis nominatum, re vera ad Centrolophidas pertinet, haec familia abhinc 49.11 milies milium annorum iam exstabat.^[1]^[2]
