Acrocanthosaurus est genus monotypicum Dinosaurorum Theropodum quod Cretaceo inferiore in America Septentrionali habitabat. Adhuc unam novimus Acrocanthosauri speciem fuisse, quae est Acrocanthosaurus atokensis, et a propinquis propter altam spinam dorsi decernitur, quae Acrocanthosaurum Spinosauro paulum similem facit. Reliquiae in Oclahoma Texiaque repertae sunt.
