The article [[en:Wikipedia:Notability_(people)]] is a temporary compromise in the perpetual war between exclusionists & inclusionists. Wales is an inclusionist. His point is that "Wikipedia is not paper," and there's hence no reason to exclude anything from it on this basis of the limitations of the old media; everything can be included. Exclusionists try to extend to wikipedia the standards of the old media.
