How and why was it decided to name the Tolkienian elves as Dryades? They are nothing close to dryads or "tree nymphs". It should be renamed to Quendi or something more appropriate. -- [Anon]
:You'll have to ask the Latin translator of "The Hobbit" that question: see the footnote. Vicipaedia normally accepts reliably published translations. ::I think that renaming this article to [[Quendi]] and then add a footnote or paragraph that the translator of Hobbitus Ille named them as Dryades would do justice to the legendarium name, and to them not being tree nymphd.
