Paulus Silentiarius vel Graece Παῦλος ὁ Σιλεντιάριος, Constantinopoli mortuus circiter annum 580, fuit poëta apud Palatium Iustiniani I amicusque Agathiae. Multa scripsit epigrammata de amore, quae nobis tradita sunt in Anthologia Palatina. Notius est etiam poëma illud quo Paulus magnificentissimam canit basilicam Byzantinam Sanctae Sophiae.
