Gothiae Occidentalis Comitatus (Suecice Västra Götalands län) constituta est die 1 Ianuarii 1998 e coniunctione trium pristinarum provinciarum Sueciae, Provincia Skaraburgensis, Provincia Elfsburgensis, et Provincia Gothoburgi et Bahusiae. Caput provinciae est Gothoburgum. Incolarum 1.169.556 habet (1995); area 16 676 km² continet.[1]
