Svenska: Gåva enligt testamente 1872 av Carl XV. Signerad: P.N. Arbo Norv. Paris, 1865
English: A valkyrie with a spear, a helmet and a shield, riding through the air. This is probably the first large sized version of Arbos Valkyrie pictures. His first large Valkyrie painting was painted in 1864 in Paris. Its premier exhibition was in 1866 in Stockholm. This painting was then bought by king Carl XV of Sweden, the painting is now owned by Nationalmuseum, Stockholm. The other large Arbo Valkyrie painting was done in 1869 and is owned by Nasjonalgalleriet, Oslo. See the Peter Nicolai Arbo gallery for the 1869 Valkyrie.
