English: A very worn 1st-century BC Roman silver Republican denarius, 'CN·PLANCIVS - AED·CVR·S·C' (Cretan goat), struck by the moneyer Cn. Plancius at Rome in 55 BC (RRC 432/1).

This coin has an 'X'-shaped control mark stamped at the centre of the reverse.
