Object history
Deutsch: Das von Gustav Völker entworfene Wappen wurde mit Verfügung vom 28. September 1964 vom Regierungspräsidenten in Hildesheim genehmigt. Das Wappen ist abgeleitet vom Siegel der Familie Weisen, die über Jahrhunderte in der Gemeinde ein Rittergut besaßen. Die Farben Rot und Gold sind die Farben des Fürstentums Grubenhagen. Der Schrägbalken soll den Fluss Sieber symbolisieren, das Kleeblatt steht für die Landwirtschaft.
