Descriptio
English: Detail of the Miracle of Our Lady of the Rosary and the Knight of Cologne attributed to Miguel Esteve (also attributed to other painters). According to the traditional interpretation by Émile Bertaux the painting was commissioned by María Enríquez de Luna, the widow of Giovanni Borgia, and shows the murder of his husband by his brother, Cesare. The interpretation is not supported by documents but the painting remains the only possible, nearly contemporary portrait of the Duke of Gandía.
