usor:82.121.122.95 just changed a redirect to this page to "Mutationes Nouae" (without changing the actual name of the page though). But obviously if we are going to change the name of this page it shoudl be to "Mutationes recentes" which is what it says in the side bar. Now, mutationes recentes has always struck me as awkward: had I been the one to name the page, I would have called it nuper mutata (since Latin tends to avoid abstract nouns when it can, cf. "ab urbe condita" for *a conditione urbis which would be just terrible). However, mutationes recentes grew on me, so I never bothered to change it. Some of the awkward Latin phrasings of this wiki have just become part and parcel ;) --Iustinus 21:39, 23 Novembris 2005 (UTC)

Well, the special page itself can't be renamed like the anon wanted (it will always be Specialis:Recentchanges)... but if wishing to change the title displayed, that's Mediawiki:Recentchanges. Awkward phrasing could probably be fixed if we want to put forth the effort... there is a lot of low-quality Latin here, that we don't particularly need to encourage. *shrug* —Myces Tiberinus 06:07, 24 Novembris 2005 (UTC)

In my view, the other information that is now present on this page does not fit thematically to well on the recent changes page (e. g. help on editing). Perhaps we should one day re-add nexus utiles, but I fear that today we do not have a good entry point to our help pages yet.

Note that a link to Special:Recentchanges will work on any MediaWiki wiki regardless of the language and will be automatically transformed to whatever is appropriate (Specialis: or Especial: or Speciaal: etc.) For this reason, we might as well leave out all the interlanguage links.

Great! I am still wondering a bit why you are using the dative here, but I am sure you know the language much better than me, and also that you know what you are doing ;-)

Perhaps you could reduce the two newlines between the two paragraphs to just one, this saves a little bit of screen space. The interlanguage links also need attention since the current list is outdated. Would you prefer to take the long list of all 218 wikipedias (above) or should I reduce the list to the non-tiny ones (e. g. the 98 wikipedias that have 1000+ pages, or even the 147 wikipedias that have 100+ pages)? --UV 20:43, 18 Iunii 2006 (UTC)

I strongly feel that we should be as inclusive as possible, however some of the very tiny wikipedias are awful, vandalised perpetually, and often not written in the language they are supposed to be...so let's go with the list of 100+.--Ioshus Rocchio 20:57, 18 Iunii 2006 (UTC)
