Nemine contradicente recensere
When I said that I moved this "Nemine contradicente" I exaggerated: Iacobus, on another page, had referred to the opinion that an "Ecclesia Anglica" had been in existence before Augustine. I knew he was wrong, because the church he was talking about cannot have been "Anglica" or "Anglicana". It would have been, if it had ever given itself a territorial name (and why would it have done so?) "Britannica"; it could never have called itself "Anglica". Well, that's what I say.
