recensereEiffelia is simply not Latin. It's just something the dictionary writer pulled out of his ass. Google shows that both forms are used (Eiffelia has more hits, yes, but that's quite possibly because of our influence), and we should not be supporting bad Latin.
In addition, two other articles on this wiki use Eiffel, so it's clearly the more natural form. Pantocrator 12:35, 8 Februarii 2010 (UTC)
- Turris Eiffelia is an attested form for the Eiffel Tower, and creating adjectives out of surnames is something which has been happening in Latin during the last centuries (very common in botanical Latin, for instance). Here it is a rule to use attested forms, no mater what you may think about dictionaries, which you already explained elsewhere. --Xaverius 12:44, 8 Februarii 2010 (UTC)
- Turris quam aedificavit Eiffel appellanda est "Eiffeliana". Eiffeliam autem appellabis Eiffelii filiam. Recte ergo dixit Pantocrator hoc nomen non esse Latinum.
