Don't quite get it ...

"Indutrix" I guess is a woman who wears or models clothing, seems OK, but what's the grammar of "adulti"? "Wearer of an adult"? Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 10:06, 14 Novembris 2012 (UTC)

Good day Andrew. My lexicon said that "model" for a woman (model as human, not model as for cars et cetera) is indutrix. But I'm not sure of "adult model" in Latin, that's why I wrote indutrix adulti. Is there an adjective of adultus?

And good day to you too, Donatello! Well, I guessed it must be something like that.

We have used "ostentatrix" for a person whose main task is to show herself, but if we're talking about showing clothes then indutrix seems excellent (the masculine word, indutor, is late-classical).

The word "adult" is being used in a somewhat odd way here: it isn't that she's an adult, though no doubt that's a very good thing, it is that her spectators are supposed to be adults and their thoughts are supposed to be those only entertained by adults. That's a lot to pack into one Latin word that may not have been used in this sense before. One could instead use "eroticus -a -um": I don't think anyone would misunderstand "ostentatrix erotica" or "indutrix erotica". Others may well suggest something better.
