Secundus est quod sequitur, praesertim quod primum sequitur... "Second" est momentum temporis...--Ioshus (disp) 19:41, 15 Aprilis 2007 (UTC)
- Secundus significant quoque unitatem temporis. Newtonus in sua principia ait "tempore minuti unius secundi"; Vide etiam historia vocabuli 'secundus' in pagina Anglice en:second: "Originally, the second was known as a "second minute", meaning the second minute (i.e. small) division of an hour. The first division was known as a "prime minute" and is equivalent to the minute we know today." Leonhardus Euler iam circum annos 1700 secundo utitur sine minuto in sua "Opera omnia" pag. 136 ..."determinatio ultra 2 aut 3 partes decimas unius secundi erronea esse nequit.." et pag. 319 ..."error unius secundi temporis...". Conventus internationalis de secundo sequi quoque debemus.Rafaelgarcia 18:17, 16 Aprilis 2007 (UTC)
Sexus
recensereI found this on the en:minute page: "Until modern times, degrees and hours were divided succesively by 60 in pars minuta prima, pars minuta secunda, pars minuta tertia and so on. This evolved to the modern minute and second, but for smaller divisions we follow now the decimal division." Should the gender of secundus be feminine becuase it comes from the phrase "pars minuta secunda"? -- Secundus Zephyrus 05:21, 8 Iunii 2007 (UTC)
- Nevermind. I should have read this whole page... -- Secundus Zephyrus 05:24, 8 Iunii 2007 (UTC)
