"Center" (building) in Latin? recensere

In this article, I used the word ampitheatrum to denote center as in "Georgia Tech Aquatic Center". Is there a better word? --Jchthys 00:48, 9 Ianuarii 2009 (UTC)Reply

That may been discussed somewhere. Some contributors, working backward from European languages, have tried centrum, but it may not have survived editing; the article Centrum (regio Franciae) is still extant, though. IacobusAmor 01:48, 9 Ianuarii 2009 (UTC)Reply

Latin for "yard" (~ 1 metrum)? recensere

I used metrum in place of the English yard where the latter would be more accurate. Should I put some sort of conversion in?

Cassell's glosses 'yard' as tres pedes and 'a yard long or wide' as tripedalis. IacobusAmor 01:48, 9 Ianuarii 2009 (UTC)Reply
Tres pedes is what Morgan cites as well...--Rafaelgarcia 01:51, 9 Ianuarii 2009 (UTC)Reply
Revertere ad "Ryan Lochte".
